Tate Canyon (@t8canyon) organized and hosted an exclusive listening party for the highly anticipated album launch of Tyler, the Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost (CMIYGL). The event attracted over 300 attendees and featured a rare, unpaid appearance by Tyler, the Creator, along with Jasper, Travis Bennett, and Lionel Boyce. As the sole organizer, I managed all aspects of the event, from promotion to execution, delivering a memorable and successful gathering that became a major highlight for fans post-COVID.
Key Responsibilities & Achievements:
Talent Coordination & Guest Appearances: Secured a rare, unpaid appearance by Tyler, the Creator, and other key members of his creative team, including Jasper, Travis Bennett, and Lionel Boyce, adding significant star power and exclusivity to the event.
Event Promotion & Advertising: Led all promotional efforts, utilizing social media campaigns, grassroots marketing, and influencer partnerships to generate buzz and drive attendance. The event gained widespread attention from fans across the state.
Event Logistics & Coordination: Oversaw the entire event flow, including live DJ performances, music video projections, and coordinating a full BBQ menu to enhance the guest experience. Ensured all logistical needs, from sound to catering, were seamlessly executed.
Community Building & Fan Engagement: The event served as the first major community gathering since the COVID-19 pandemic, uniting fans statewide and providing a sense of connection and celebration at a time when in-person events were rare.
Attendance & Engagement: Successfully drew over 300 attendees, creating a vibrant, energetic atmosphere that further cemented the event’s place as a milestone in fan culture and the music community.
The event was widely regarded as a resounding success, offering fans an unforgettable experience and further establishing my expertise in planning and executing large-scale events, even amidst a challenging post-pandemic landscape.
