Crisis Y2K (2021) | Event Organizer & Host

Building on the success of the CMIYGL Listening Party, I organized and hosted Crisis Y2K, a Y2K/Early 2000s-themed ticketed event in Santa Monica. The party, held in July 2021, capitalized on the momentum from my previous event, offering an immersive experience with a variety of attractions, including a live DJ, cannabis bar, food trucks, tattoo artists, and more. This unique event became a standout highlight of the summer.

Key Responsibilities & Achievements:

• Event Concept & Theme Development: Created and executed the Y2K/Early 2000s concept, curating an atmosphere that resonated with a nostalgic crowd and drew in attendees who wanted to relive the early 2000s vibe.

FLYER DESIGN:

• Venue & Logistics Management: Rented and managed a small but vibrant venue in Santa Monica, coordinating all event logistics, from setup to breakdown, and ensuring a seamless flow for attendees.

• Ticket Sales & Pricing Strategy: Developed a tiered ticketing system, offering tickets ranging from $20 to $60, and promoted online sales leading up to the event. The price structure was designed to appeal to a wide audience while generating solid event revenue.

• Event Attractions & Partnerships: Partnered with food trucks, a cannabis bar, and tattoo artists to provide a diverse range of attractions, ensuring there was something for everyone. Collaborated with local vendors and partners to create an unforgettable experience.

• Music & Entertainment: Organized a dynamic lineup of live DJs, curating the perfect soundtrack for the event to capture the essence of the Y2K era.

• Event Marketing & Promotion: Utilized social media campaigns and word-of-mouth marketing to drive ticket sales and event awareness, leveraging the success of my previous event to build anticipation.

Outcome:The event successfully captured the spirit of the Y2K era, providing a fun and immersive summer experience that drew a large, diverse crowd. It became one of the most memorable events of 2021, earning rave reviews for its energy, creativity, and attention to detail.
